H.E EVARISTÉ NDAYISHIMIYE, PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF BURUNDI, AND CHAIRMAN OF EAST AFRICA COMMUNITY (EAC) ARRIVES IN KENYA FOR THE EAC-LED NAIROBI PROCESS THIRD INTER-CONGOLESE DIALOGUE
Dr. Alfred Mutua receives H.E President Evaristé Ndayishimiye at JKIA
On 27th November, 2022 H.E Evaristé Ndayishimiye, President of the Republic of Burundi and Chairman of East Africa Community (EAC) arrived in Nairobi Kenya, to launch the Third Inter-Congolese Dialogue that begins in Nairobi tomorrow, 28th November, 20022. H.E President Ndayishimiye was received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Dr. Alfred Mutua, Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya.
The Third Inter-Congolese dialogue under the framework of the EAC-Led Nairobi Process, on restoration of peace and security in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), is scheduled from 28th November 2022 to 3rd December, 2022. The meeting aims to accelerate the ongoing regional efforts to attain sustainable peace and security in Eastern DRC as elaborated by various efforts of the EAC Heads of State. The peace talks reaffirm the commitment of the Heads of State of the EAC; Great Lakes region, Africa at large and all other stakeholders, to finding lasting solution to the security challenges in the Eastern DRC.
