LAUNCH OF VOTER REGISTRATION FOR KENYAN CITIZENS RESIDING IN BURUNDI, 21ST JANUARY, 2022
On Friday 21st January 2022, H.E. Ambassador Daniel Wambura, Kenya Embassy Bujumbura officially launched the voter registration for Kenyan Citizens residing in Burundi, in line with the Provisions of the 2010 Kenyan Constitution and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC’s) decree. A team of IEBC officials led Mr. Paul Yego will conduct the exercise in Burundi for a period of fifteen (15) days from 21st January 2022 to 4th February, 2022.
The Embassy in collaboration with IEBC officials and Kenya Association in Burundi will continue with the mobilization exercise to ensure that most of the Kenyans in Burundi who are yet to register as voters , do so.
