

Ambassador Bids Farewell to H.E. the President of the Republic of Burundi
On 27th June 2025, H.E. Ambassador Daniel Wambura, outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Republic of Burundi, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Évariste Ndayishimiye, President of the Republic of Burundi, to bid him farewell at the conclusion of his tour of duty.
The meeting served as an opportunity to reflect on the strong and growing bilateral relations between Kenya and Burundi. Ambassador Wambura expressed his deep appreciation to the Government and People of Burundi for the cooperation and hospitality extended to him throughout his tenure.
In his remarks, Ambassador Wambura reaffirmed Kenya’s enduring commitment to supporting Burundi’s national development agenda and regional integration efforts. President Ndayishimiye commended the Ambassador for his dedicated service and contribution to enhancing diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Wambura concluded the visit by expressing optimism that Kenya–Burundi relations will continue to flourish under his successor.
